What did Magical Creatures Of Hamakua - Animal Rescue And Sanctuary need?

Mario helped Magical Creatures Of Hamakua - Animal Rescue And Sanctuary conduct research on a particular topic or question.

Why is this project important?

We are committed to helping the many animals who are not fortunate enough to make it to sanctuary, as well as the animals who do find their way to us. We are developing outreach campaigns to spread awareness on animal issues, and to hopefully generate funding through merchandise campaigns for the sanctuary and other animal organizations.

This project will save us $5,239, allowing us to feed and provide daily healthcare for our 65+ rescued farm animals and special needs animals. Every dollar saved helps us to provide sanctuary to more animals in need, and outreach to the community.

I've always found it hard to talk about myself, but it is something that I'm working on. It just doesn't come naturally to me, although writing about other topics/in general is something that I've always exceeded at. In the fifth grade, I won a writing contest put on by The Old Globe Theater Company, among all of the other elementary schools in San Diego, for a fictitious short story about a penguin who was king of the arctic. Ever since then, writing and specifically the storytelling aspect of writing and content creation has been something I pursued. This pursuit is constant and clear throughout every job I have ever had. Whether it was creating a weekly broadcast for the campus radio station, telling an animals story to help get them adopted and find a home, or writing copy and essentially being the online voice for my clients at an advertising agency; storytelling has always been in my life.

A little bit more about me to help round out the picture. There has never been a time since I have legally been able to have a job that I did not have one. I have been working, at least part-time, ever since I was 16 and full-time since graduating from San Diego State University in the spring of 2019. While undertaking a full course load each semester, I still found time to work, volunteer, and engage in hobbies and extracurricular activities. I am extremely driven and excel in time management. I've been put in positions of leadership at a young age. At 18 years old I was made a location manager at a local Starbucks were I lead a crew of 7 other full-time and part-time employees.

I'm supposed to end this with a call to action but I'd rather end by saying this: my favorite marketing teacher used to say "if you are not the consumer you are product," and that perfectly sums up LinkedIn, that is all it is, I am a product. Here is how LinkedIn describes this product.

"Experienced Social Media Director with a demonstrated history of working in the philanthropy industry. Skilled in Sales, Communication, Team Building, Management, and Teamwork. Strong marketing professional with a Bachelor of Science - BS focused in Marketing from San Diego State University."
