Senior Software Engineer

Essence of the Role

Catchafire is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build out our web application for skills-based volunteering. You must have extensive web development experience using Python and Django as well as experience with frontend software development using HTML, CSS, & Javascript. You should be comfortable coding, gathering & shaping requirements, and taking ownership of complex projects involving cross-functional teams.

Foundation Accounts Manager - San Francisco

Essence of the Role

As Foundation Accounts Manager, you will be entrusted to manage and grow a portfolio of 8-10 of our largest and most impactful partnerships with grantmaking foundations. You will oversee and become the expert on these foundations from around the country, and in some cases world, who are focused on community building, supporting local philanthropy, and elevating nonprofit organizations and ecosystems. You are responsible for program success and delivery, meeting and exceeding expectations set with our clients in order to build measurable impact for our foundation partners and the communities and cause areas they serve. Through your experience with client management and project management, you’ll build lasting and deep relationships with our partners and set the partnership up for long-term success and growth.

YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO:
  • Manage the successful implementation of all program activities for your portfolio of accounts, including:
    • Managing and collaborating with internal teams to generate marketing, programming, events and deliverables for the client across the program lifecycle (launch, including contact email list, mid-program, renewal and expansion, etc.)
    • Reporting engagement and nonprofit findings to your clients and Catchafire internal teams regularly by:

Associate Graphic Designer

Catchafire is looking for an Associate Graphic Designer to join our in-house Design team and use their skills for good by visually communicating our brand across channels.

Catchafire is a web based platform that matches skilled professionals who want to volunteer their skills with Nonprofits that need help. This is an exciting time for our company as we strive to meet our next phase of growth—helping as many non-profits as possible as well as hosting our first full-scale conference.

This role will cover a spectrum of design responsibilities ranging from print marketing and brand work to digital production and presentation design. Special Assistant & People Operations Associate

About the role

This role is for you if you see no ceiling to what you can learn and accomplish.

As Special Assistant & People Operations Associate, you will straddle two roles integral to Catchafire’s day-to-day operations as well as its longer term capabilities and efficiency. As Special Assistant, you will work closely with our Leadership Team, specifically our two SVPs of Accounts and Chief Product Officer, while as People Operations Associate, you’ll work with the People Ops team on a variety of projects that affect the full company.

In this dual role, you will be exposed to an extremely wide range of responsibilities, ranging from providing critical leverage and support to our two SVPs of Accounts & Chief Product Officer, including calendar management, workstream prioritization, and managing key logistics with external clients, to owning important work streams within Catchafire’s People Operations function including facilities management, recruiting, Catchafire culture, and learning and development.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage the calendar & workflows of our two SVPs of Accounts
    • Strategically manage these two executives’ daily, weekly, and monthly schedules to build in time for their most important work streams
    • Provide leverage by gathering information, communicating within Accounts team as well as across different teams, managing travel logistics, monitoring progress on key projects, and helping manage their workflows
    • Own communications and scheduling with team and key external contacts
    • Manage logistics and preparation for key meetings, such as client meetings and client-related travel
  • Provide as needed support for our Chief Product Officer on specific workstreams and occasional travel
  • Co-manage Catchafire’s office environment with an eye towards creating a clean, productive, and delightful space to work
  • Own key People Operations projects in areas such as recruiting, operations, nurturing Catchafire culture & values, employee engagement, learning & development, and special events

Experience
  • 2+ years professional experience
  • Experience managing many simultaneous work streams with utmost attention to detail
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent research and critical thinking ability
  • Ability to quickly learn to do the things you have never done before
